Scarletts Garden Tea Room
Creative Accents NashvilleHave you ever daydreamed about living in another time, a time where life was a little slower, a time of gentlemen and ladies, sprawling verandas and mint juleps? Well, Linda Morrison did and one day decided to make her dream a reality. With the help and support of her husband, Terry, she embarked on a journey back in time and has endeavored to bring the world of the Old South to Mt. Juliet. The couple bought an old stone-front church and through blood, sweat, and tears opened Creative Accents & Tea Room, featuring Scarlett’s Garden Tea Room.

Linda, a decorator by trade, southern belle at heart, has created a unique business where you can shop for your entire home accessory needs and eat a homemade lunch in Scarlett’s southern garden. Creative Accents offers all types of home décor, including lamps, candles, one of a kind items, Gone with the Wind collectibles, and framed prints. Her custom-made wreaths and flower arrangements will add life and charm to any home and she will carry seasonal arrangements and decorations for all of your needs. But, don’t stop by without taking a stroll in the Garden.

Tea RoomScarlett’s Garden is an amazing escape, where one can sit on the veranda of a southern mansion, sip a fruit tea and eat a Southern Hospitality Salad, a Morning Glory Muffin, or a helping of Bonnie’s Banana Pudding. We offer a selection of soups, sandwiches, salads, casseroles, and desserts with daily specials from which to choose. A perfect atmosphere to hold those special Bridal showers and Baby showers. For the lighter side choose our Scarlett’s luncheon teatime. We serve homemade food with southern charm and offer boxed lunches and take-out. The tea room is available to reserve for your after hours special occasions or Plantation-style teas.

More About Us

Owned and managed by Linda and Terry Morrison, Creative Accents and Scarlett’s Garden Tea Room opened November 1, 2003, to the joy of many ladies and gentlemen in the area.

After purchasing an abandoned little church building on the hill at Nonaville Road in the very center of Mt. Juliet’s historic Lebanon Road retail center flanked by the oldest establishments in the area, Moss’ Garden Center and Rice Ham Store, the tea room quickly gained a lot of attention. Not only for the delicious food served during lunch, and the tastefully decorated gift shop, but for taking a piece of property that was a community eye-sore and transforming it into an inviting and gracious establishment.

Shortly after opening, the Creative Accents and Tea Room was presented a Beautification Award by the City of Mt. Juliet. Within a few short months, the business was once again presented another Beautification Award from the William E. Baird foundation of Wilson County. Many community and county leaders have been instrumental in our success and to them we send our thanks and gratitude.
